why do i hate the fact these bands are getting together?

I hope chris martin and jack white get in a fight.

Leave it to kroq to segregate people into two nights. I'd love to see system of a down but I think I'd end up beating the jolly ho ho ho out of a thrice fan. And c'mon, how popular is Jack Johnson? Should he really be alongside the stripes, deathcab and depeche mode? I mean seriously. I just wish the Bravery and the Killers were sharing the bill so that I could see that Brandon really does slap instead of punch. I seriously have more love for the Bravery now. Leave it to this station to kill a band. Oh and a million impressionable 14 year old girls. Damn that was an aggressive post! Oh well mainstream pop (sic-cutting edge alternative) stations can do that to me.

do i need vitamins or something?

my eyelashes keep falling out. I have really long ones and always thought it odd that i got so many in my eyes, but now i routinely (after washing my hands thoroughly) do a wipe grab of them and sure enough there'll be like 4-5 each eye every other day. Do eyelashes grow that quickly? Is there another row of them waiting like shark teeth? It appears i still have an ample amount of lashes but how the hell do you keep them from falling out? Aren't eyelashes one of the strongest follicles? I thought they were the only hair to not fall out during chemotherapy too. Am i needlessly obsessing about something? I dunno, you tell me.

How could I freakin forget?!?

let the holidays begin

All the kids were around and at grandmas. I was able to get various fluids spit all over me, but I managed. Played alot with the sis' pooch (ball throwing in the hundreds of repetitions). Then out to the desert to eat some bird. Played and played some more with nephews throughout the weekend. Saw Harry Potter. Awesome, I must say. They left alot out but if they didn't it woulda been a looooooooong movie. Sunday relaxed and washed dusty, then went to Timmy's house for his bday dinner with tons of old friends and about 3 hours of laughing at him. Cool to reconnect with alot of these guys. Some I see somewhat frequently, some almost never so it's good to see them. no pics but i'll post what i got. Hope you all had a good holiday.

happy turkey day people

Make sure you hug your family good and tight for that extra couple seconds, cause if you're with them today (whether you want to be or not), they love you and you love them and you should be happy to be with them. Plus you get football all day and feasting. If not then be happy you're breathing and find something fun to do. Or bet everything you have cause you get to watch football all day.

you can have this recipe too

I have super dry lips (not chapped), a nose like a faucet, and a sore back from falling asleep on the couch last night and waking up at 4am to go to bed. i didn't even have half a drink last night and didn't even make it to the 4th quarter of MNF. I'm ready for the short week to be over. I get a half day tomorrow so I'm going to see Harry Potter. Who's comin with me? No I'm not sick, just depleted.

still sleepin

So if anyone wants to come over and drink beer, c'mon over. You could drink for like 3 days and not even put a dent in it. Plenty of booze too. I'd say Ghetto Gras was successful in that all of my closest friends and a couple very old friends came and partied til horizontal all showed up. Not as many random others but still a very respectable showing. Ask me for my meatball recipe if you want it. Seriously, they're easy as hell.

6 lb bag of preprepared meatballs from Costco.
1 Crock pot
2 cans of del monte marinara.

Turn on crock pot, thats it. Don't ask me how they were, I didn't eat any of em.

I'll post pics as they come in, but I don't have a diggie so I don't have them yet.

Baptism was really cool, little Emmy was awesome through the whole thing and didn't cry at all. I had the fun task of trying to explain Jesus to my other nephews. Normally a task I'd decline but since they're MY nephews I tried. But didn't share my personal views as they have not much of an inkling as to who he is and how his whole parent thing works. Don't think it stuck, they just wanted to tattoo themselves to me while operating 3 cameras. All good, they were sweet and tried to herd the smaller kids a bit. But I was pretty tired throughout the festivities and as they ended pretty early my wish for vegging on the couch was granted. Good weekend. House is still super clean and there is tons, and tons of booze left over, so c'mon over, I'll make you a cocktail. But take your shoes off the carpet is sparkling, really it is.

And if you know JenniferB wish her a HappyB. Momma's gettin OLD!!!! Happy Birthday Kid!!! You will have a birthday present soon from Cali!

ain't been bloggin much so here goes

This week was a looooong week. So long it needed 4 extra vowels. The door handle on the drivers side of my car broke and i had to get the car into the mechanic for something he already fixed. It was taking me 2 hours to drive a pretty short distance 4 days this week. Trying to get to the damn place was a bitch. I'm fighting the lingering cough and phlegm of my cold and waited to get to Friday. We went and saw the Shout Out Louds last night and that shit was pretty off the hook. i shouted....out loud. But i also caught a quick nap in between bands. Everyone in the entourage thought I passed out but was I was fine, not drunk and not beligerant. Just tired from not much sleep and a long workday.

Tonight is the ReNew Ah'lens Ghetto Gras Masquerade at our house. There will be beads. There will be masks, and hopefully there will be costumes. But either way it'll be fun, plenty of people rollin out. We're not going as crazy in making shirts for everyone, but we still have some raffle prizes, and all these beads. The chore of cleaning the house is at task now as the gardeners are doing a number on the backyard. poor guys. Bet they're wishing we called them more often. It's nice and clean right now though back there. Gotta take the bottles and cans from teh last party in and go do some shopping and some decorating. I'll post some pics this week. Can't tell ya what I'm dressing up as just yet.

Tomorrow is sweet Emmy's baptism so I have to get all the debauchery out tonight so I can repent tomorrow. Still a ton to do, and I have to get this wax out of my hair from last night. I feel like my head is a big piece of cooked bacon with all of it in there. Me hair is in that in between stage of growin and I'm ready for it to be long again so I don't ahve to put anything in it. So theres the update. Hope y'all are good. make it here if you can. Call me I'll give you directions.

holy crap n criminy

I'm cool on star wars, really cool. If i don't hear about it for a while, i'll be good. Went to a hobby convention in freaking walnut this weekend and that crap was all star wars (like we wanted) but I'll be okay if I don't have to talk about it for a while. Espeically if you're 9 years old. Don't get me wrong. I love my nephews but man that was alot of star wars and one of them had the gumption to say that they didn't appreciate what they picked out. Mind you THEY picked their own toys out, I just paid for them. One of them said that they were wondering how long they had to wait before they put the ones I got for them on ebay. grrrrrrr. Still fun tho. They had their first Tommy's and I prolly had my last. Thats some serious cholesterol.

I also got time wth the niece and nephew. The niece wasn't feeling it tho. We went for yuko's bday dinner tonight and it was pretty damn good. Sushi in Santa Monica. Alot of it. And alot of sake. I came home with a bunch of fasionable shot glasses even after some banker guy (looked like one AND was wearing a Fidelity Investments jacket) asked me where to score an 8-ball. Got me but I directed him to where I thought he might find one. Good times. Really good food. I'm gonna watch extras, its a new one. My door broke on my car so i have to crawl over to the passenger side. Gotta figure that one out tomorrow. Even more good times!!!

mmmmmmmhmm

Black Tounge by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is one of the sexiest songs sung by a woman. I love it. I'd say I'd want it played at my wedding but I don't want to force heart attacks. Maybe I'll save it for the honeymoon.

hehe

and what do the bible thumpers think when they come here. Not that I'm overtly areligious, but I am covertly. I need to start posting more satanic stuff. Not that I'm satanic but I do have reserved seating for the future.

what do you do?

If you have the chance to make a wish (ie-going through a tunnel, wishing well, eyelash, yadda yadda) do you wish for something attainable? Something grand (world peace, etc) or Something simple that you know could happen?

C'mon now

Now a company vendor (we'll call them Easy Pimps Inc in this case) calls and says they want to come in and buy us lunch with good subs and the like. Would you not make an attempt to order your favorite sub instead of a general smattering of roast beef and turkey? Dammnit, pimps wanna come and in a shmooze us into buying more of their high quality bitches (product) wouldn't it be up to them to find a place that catered to my beloved hot pastrami? Make them work, they requested the lunch and want our business. Ten bucks says I now have either dry roast beef or turkey and they'll have nasty ass nut...er...mayo all over it. They better come with wild cherry pepsi in hand or I'm kickin them to the curb and leaving their dirty bitches alone.

Why does Elton John say he misses his wife in rocketman?

This cold is hangin on. I'm better but the cough is nasty and bleh feeling is stickin with me.

I've been listening to this Elliott Smith religiously. It really is good and on days like today. I've been supporting one of my coworkers for the last 3 days. She eats a ton and got into a car accident so I had to take her home today. i got out of having to drive her butt to work tomorrow morning. I'm aight but what do you say to someone that sits on their blackberry on the drive? i got home voted (to knock down every single right proposition I could), then went to Target just to find out the nephews had every single star wars figure target had (it's their bdays this week), and then got home to make some shirts. I took the "I (heart) NY" shirt and used the same font and put "BUT I HATE THE YANKEES" on the back. Pretty fun.

I just want to get to the weekend. I'll get to play with the nephews this weekend and am actually looking forward to hanging with them. Maybe I can get all the star wars out of me while they're here.

I'm going to bed soon, I don't have much more, what do you got?

the last Elliott Smith can give us

the rest of From A Basement on a Hill

frontcover
backcover

This is the last music that was previously unreleased from Elliott Smith that was planned for From A Basement On A Hill. It's freaking gorgeous and not as rough as i thought it would be. There is alot of it, 22 freaking tracks! Alot of multitracking that is typically beautiful. I wish those fingers could play again, but they will as you ingest this. Look for another cover here as i'm not thrilled about this one, but am not complaining. Thank you for leaking it this far and keep it circulating.

double header action

I went and saw The Weatherman and History of Violence last night. Both really good, both really dark. Weatherman is not a comedy but a well done look at self disfunction. Nick Cage almost ala his Matchstick Men.

History of Violence is pretty wicked. Ed Harris and my favorite of the bunch was William Hurt. Dude was not his usual william hurt. Viggo was pretty damn good even if he's destroying tracheas. But maria bello, mmmmmmmm damn, she's got a thing. She could be covered in mud and pull of her thing. Makes women without makeup on look really, really good. I won't give em away, see em yourself.

Here's some ish for ya

This isn't all the pics but some of note for ya. It was a long night cumulating in me completing the acquisition of my cold. Had a good time none the less and was only fondled once after i had deposited my sandwich on some obscure sidestreet.

fuck me in the goatass

I missed the Roots show on Halloween, then i missed karaoke with the Roots last night. And i just turned down bowling with them tonight. one of the only hip hop bands I like out there and I have to feel like an overused ahole. FUCKCRAPSHITBITCH!!!!

bleh

I'm sick, really sick, feels like my fever is breaking right now as I'm getting the sweats again. I had to come into work so that I wouldn't get the rep of being the drunk flakey guy, But I will most likely go home instead of infecting everyone else. I had fun on Halloween but didn't go crazy or anything, I walked around west Hollywood with sasha while the other blokes went into the club. That was probably a stupid thing to do as the reason I was so sore was that a cold was comin. I'll post pics as soon as I get them. We did have fun and at the nights end we hung out up at the rooftop pool of the hotel and I had to turn to witness 3 guys blowing another guy. Just wrong, nasty ass Abercrombie looking boys "experimenting" Safe to say I was done on the rooftop. But I got home yesterday and was wiped, extremely wiped and spent pretty much all day in bed. My nose is raw, my throat hurts, my body is sore, i have a fever, and i don't even think it's snot anymore, just all the fluid i'm putting in my body is running freely out of my nose. Go figure, sorry not to fill this post with the retellings of the Halloween, it really was fun. I'll put that one out when i get the pics.
